I am running because my friends and neighbors asked me to step up for my neighborhood and my city.  We deserve a responsible government that uses our tax dollars for what we want.  My competitor designed the failed Salem Payroll Tax and says now we have to close the Salem Library and Salem 50+ Center.  But Salem is collecting record revenue and the operational deficit is only 2% of the budget.  We can make Oregon's capital work.  There are no corporations or political parties behind me.  If you believe Salem can be the jewel of Oregon with common sense management and fiscal responsibility, then you can make it a reality.
